1. Who we are
The website at kerbona.org is operated by Kerbona Research Foundation (legal name KERBONA RESEARCH FOUNDATION), a British Columbia non-profit society.
Registered address: 90-20498 82 Avenue, Langley, BC V2Y 0V1, Canada Contact: info@kerbona.org
2. What these terms cover
These terms apply to the public pages of the Kerbona website, such as the home, about, programs, competitions, consultation, and student work pages. You do not need an account to read them, and the website pages themselves do not ask you for personal information.
They do not cover Kerbona Portal, Kerbona’s signed-in service for accounts, competition registration, consultations, consent, and payments. Kerbona Portal is not yet open to the public, and none of those services is available through the website today. When Kerbona Portal opens, it will have its own terms and notices, which you will be asked to accept before using it. Where a Portal document and these website terms address the same point, the Portal document will govern what you do in Kerbona Portal.
3. Descriptions of programs and services
The website describes Kerbona’s programs, competitions, and consultation services so that you can decide whether to take part. Those descriptions are general information. They are not an offer and not a contract.
The terms that apply to a particular competition, program, or consultation, including eligibility, dates, fees, cancellation, and refunds, are the ones shown when you register, book, or pay, together with the Kerbona Portal documents described in section 2. Where the website says something is a target or an aim, such as the number of free consultation windows Kerbona tries to open each month, it is not a promise.
4. Content and copyright
Unless a page says otherwise, the text, design, and images on the website belong to Kerbona Research Foundation or are used with permission. The Kerbona name and logo identify Kerbona and may not be used in a way that suggests Kerbona has approved or is connected with something it has not.
Student work or achievements shown on the website belong to the Students who created them. The website does not show any Student records today. Any that are shown in future will appear only with the Student’s consent, and a Guardian’s consent for a Student under 19.
5. What you may do
You may:

6. What you may not do
You may not:
- copy, republish, sell, or otherwise reuse website content, including Student work, beyond what section 5 allows, without Kerbona’s written permission;
- present website content as your own, or remove notices that identify Kerbona or a creator;
- use automated tools to collect website content in bulk, or in a way that places an unreasonable load on the website;

The website may link to websites and services Kerbona does not operate. Kerbona is not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. Their own terms apply when you use them.
8. General information only
The website offers general information about learning, research, and planning. It is not personal academic, career, legal, immigration, or financial advice, and it does not promise any result at any school, program, or employer.
Kerbona works to keep the website accurate and available, but pages may contain errors, may change, and may sometimes be unavailable. The website is provided as it is and as it is available.
9. Responsibility
To the extent permitted by law, Kerbona is not responsible for loss that results from relying on general website information or from the website being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits any responsibility or right that applicable law does not allow to be limited.
10. Privacy and cookies
How the website handles information about visitors is explained in the Website Privacy Notice. Cookies are explained in the Cookie Notice.
11. Changes to these terms
Kerbona may update these terms. The version and effective date at the top of this page show which version applies. When a change is significant, this page will say what changed.
