1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website asks your browser to store, so that the website can recognize the browser on a later request. Similar tools, such as browser storage, work in much the same way. This notice covers both.
2. The short version
- The website itself does not set cookies and does not use browser storage.
- There are no optional cookies on kerbona.org today. There are no statistics, analytics, advertising, or social media cookies.
- Cloudflare’s security features may set a cookie in the specific situations described below. Such cookies are strictly necessary for security and cannot be switched off on this page.
3. Strictly necessary cookies
Kerbona Portal, Kerbona’s signed-in service, is not yet open to the public, so it sets no cookies today. Before it opens, this notice will be updated to list the cookies it needs.
Cloudflare security
Kerbona’s website is delivered through Cloudflare. The website itself does not set cookies. Cloudflare’s security protection may ask a browser to pass a security check, for example during unusual traffic, and may then set the strictly necessary cookies listed below. Cloudflare’s bot-fighting feature is switched off for kerbona.org, so its bot-fighting cookie is not used.
| Name | When it is set | Purpose | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
cf_clearance |
Only after your browser passes a Cloudflare security check | Records that the check was passed, so you are not asked again | 30 minutes |
Names beginning cf_chl_ |
Only while a Cloudflare security check is being shown | Lets the check itself work | For the duration of the check |
These cookies are not used for advertising or to build a profile of you.
4. Optional cookies
There are none today.
Kerbona is considering internal visit statistics in the future, such as how many people visit each page. This is not switched on. If it is introduced:
- this notice will list each optional cookie or identifier by name, purpose, provider, and duration before it is used;
- nothing optional will be set until you choose “Allow statistics”;
- choosing “Decline” will leave the website working exactly as it does for everyone else;
- your choice will never be a condition for using the website or any Kerbona service;
- you will be able to change your choice at any time from the Cookie settings section of this page.
5. Cookie settings
There are currently no optional cookies, so there is nothing to switch on or off here. If optional statistics are ever introduced, this is where you will be able to allow, decline, or withdraw your choice.
6. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The public website pages work without cookies, except that a Cloudflare security check, if one is shown, may need the strictly necessary cookies listed in section 3.
7. Changes and contact
Kerbona will update this notice before any cookie on kerbona.org changes. The version and effective date at the top of this page show which version applies. Questions can be sent to info@kerbona.org.
